QUESTION: What kind of medical problems do pugs have? I’m realllyyyy hoping to get a pug but my mom won’t let me till i know what kind of medical problems they have and info about them!! so pleas just tell me all you can about them!!Thanks!!!
ANSWER: Mostly it is breathing problems because of the short snouts…lil dogs in general can have knee and heart problems too…but if you do find a good breeder and spend more than the average amount on one they can be very healthy dogs…or you can adopt an adult or young adult from a rescue org and by 1 year most congenital health problems will show up….try petfinder.com or petharbor.com i also suggest calling a local vet or two and asking what kind of health issues they see in there pugs..i hope you find the perfect dog …you mom is good for making you do research on a pet… if more did we may have less pets in rescue leagues and dieing in shelters/pounds
