How many people have breed pug and the mother pug dies?

QUESTION: How many people have breed pug and the mother pug dies? I was watching a show yesterday and someone bred there pug and the mother died unexpectedly before an emergency c section according to the owner-from what i read pug mother have a high chance of dying.They mother pug had 4 puppies- 3 were alive but the 4 was dead.The owner hand reared the puppy but the smallest of the remain 3 litter died. they other 2 pups are doing well.I am not in for breeding I am for shelter adoptions myself!

ANSWER: I watched that show. The dog was too old to breed. We breed pugs and that has never happened. Nor has it happened to anyone we know that breeds pugs. That lasy was a backyard breeder and should get a slap around the wrist. You should only breed dogs that are in good health and young enough to handle the effects of pregnancy and birth.
