Do you think a young pug and chihuahua would get along together?

QUESTION: Do you think a young pug and chihuahua would get along together? I’m thinking of getting a puppy or dog my fave breeds are chihuahua pug and beagle. But I’m thinking of getting a chihuahua or pug maybe both and wanted to see if they would be good together. I’ve heard pugs are good with cats also so I was thinking of that also.

ANSWER: That’s funny… I have 2 pugs and my sister has 2 chihuahuas and 1 beagle. So yes all the dogs can get along! Pugs are extremely friendly. The 3 breeds have very different temperments. The pugs obviously shed ALOT so if you aren’t trying to wear a fur coat everyday I suggest you chose another bread. Pugs are also extremely friendly and do not bark a lot or very loudly. However they can have health problems with their eyes or noses. Beagles are very active and need a large yard and lots of attention and toys. If you get a barker it will be loud! They can be big dogs so space is also an issue. If you live in an apartment or smaller house chihuahuas are easy to live with. It does say that chihuahua’s can be ‘one people’ dogs but as long as you train them from puppyhood to be friendly with other people and dogs they should be fine. Remember: Even though they are small dogs you can easily pick up TRAIN THEM!My suggestion is to start with one the whole potty training thing takes patience!. Before you go out and buy a second dog make sure the owner/breeder lets you introduce the dogs and see if they get along. I made the mistake of buying a dog first and then my pug and the boston terrier would fight and there would be blood everywhere! A good owner will make sure their dog goes to a home with other dogs that get along well together. I suggest researching the 3 breeds you like and finding one that suits your needs.
