How much and how often should I feed my pug?

QUESTION: How much and how often should I feed my pug? I just bought a Pug from a friend who had to move away.  He just turned 2 about a week ago.  I have heard they have a tendency of eating too much and becoming fat.  Is there anyone out there who knows the proper amount to feed them?  I am going to feed him the highest quality food I can find but I don’t know the proper amount cups per day how often etc.  Please help.  Thanks in advance!!

ANSWER: A good quality bag of food will have a little chart on the back. The amount of food the dog needs depends on its age and weight.I feed my Pugs their daily amount of food into three small meals. Their smallest meal is their first meal. I walk them before each meal.
