How To Get Rid of Fleas  – Natural Flea Remedy!

I love to share things with my other pug friends that have made my pug’s and my life better, and this is definitely one of them!

First, here’s my flea story!  The first summer that I had my little pug Rico, in 2011, was the first summer in my life that I ever experienced the nastiness and nuisance of fleas, not just on my pug, but also IN MY HOUSE!  (P.S.  I had never had a dog before him!)

Yuck, ouch, itch, scratch!  Yes, they are disgusting, and yes they wreak havoc, but they are something that most all dog owners have to deal with at one point in time.

One of my biggest problems was we were always OUTSIDE!  In the parks, walking, hikes, etc.  And I live in California. So that first summer we had a major flea outbreak.  And so, I went on a mission!

Looking For A Natural Flea Remedy:

Being that I was trying to do everything as natural and organic as possible for my little Rico, I was determined to not put him in a flea collar, or give him any kind of drug that would end up messing with his system just to keep the fleas OFF him, and out of his fur.

I knew there had to be a better, natural, holistic approach to pet care than pummeling his little body with toxic pesticides and potentially deadly drugs!  But Rico was miserably scratching!

Friends told me, get him a flea collar.  And I just didn’t want to do it.  I gave him baths and started to search all over for “how to get rid of fleas” and for a “natural flea remedy.”
