QUESTION: Pug and other playful animals in the home? I have been looking into getting a pug for a while now. About 6 months ago while searching for a pug I came across a pugle that I ended up falling in love with and adopting from a rescue. I adore my dog and I want to get him a buddy so Im back on the search for a pug. My concern is that Rex my pugle loves to rough house with my cat. They get pretty rough on each other but I know it is all in fun. I know pugs like to play but I am afraid for their eyes. Im so paranoid that an eye will pop out. How common is this? Why do some have ‘buggier’ eyes than others?
ANSWER: You should not be concerned about this. Although it is more common for pug’s eyes to pop out than other breeds it is unlikely to happen. If you are worried just keep an extra eye on them when they play.
