QUESTION: Pug people do you know if a the average pug can travel in the cabin of an airplane? I want to buy a pug but I needed to know if a pug is small enough to go in those little crates and in a cabin with me of an airplane.

ANSWER: We have a pug and fly with her often. She stays in a bag made especially for dogs to fly in. The bag goes on the floor under the seat in front of us for the duration of the flight.Contrary to what someone else suggessted you cannot simply let the pilot know a few hrs. in advance that you’re flying with a pet. We only fly Delta but when we know we’ll be flying with our pug us we have to call the airline in order to book the flight. Delta only allows 2 animals in the cabin per flight so if the flight already has two animals booked we can’t take that flight. Here’s a link to the bag we keep her in when we’re flying. She’s kind of a pain in the rear to get into it but once she’s in she’s content and sleeps for most of the flight.
