What kind of personality do pugs generally have?

QUESTION: What kind of personality do pugs generally have? We were thinking about adopting a small dog from our local pound since our landlord doesn’t allow big dogs. Are pugs good with other animals such as cats? Do they try to get out a lot? And how are they with kids? I read that they have a condition where their eyes could pop out if their leash is tugged too tight which really scares me. How prone are they to this condition? 10 points if anyone can answer all my questions with detail. 

ANSWER:  Pugs are really good dogs They usually get along with other animals and are one of the calmer breeds of dogs. I haven’t ever had one of my pugs try to get out and escape but those are just mineall dogs are different. Pugs are awesome with kids and great for families. Another plus is that they dont need much excersize. All dogs need a daily walk but pugs weren’t bred to be active. Yes their eyes can pop out so it is best to walk them in a harness.
