QUESTION: Why does my 2 year old Pug chew on my fingers? Hey everyone!I have a 2 year old pug and 2 other ones as well and basically all 3 of my pugs are my babies. They were with me when my Fiance broke up etcI’m basically there mom I sit down and I have all 3 of them sit on my lap. They’re spoiled! Haha!Anyways my middle child pug has always and JUST TO ME never to anyone else grab one of my fingers and very gently naw on it. Now what does that mean? I’m not worried that he’ll hurt anyone or anything he’s a gentle guy. But I’m wondering why a pug would want to just naw lightly on my fingers when there’s toys everywhere. Is it a comfort thing?Thanks!
ANSWER: He chews on it because you allow him to. I think it is his way of showing affection. Whether or not you want him to stop is up to you. Generally speaking though it is never a great idea to encourage dogs to be ‘mouthy’.
